eVTOL Propulsion System Software development and verification

The client, a leading manufacturer of eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft that is at a mature stage of development of the aircraft and all on-board systems required support in software development and verification for safety-critical on-board system (DAL A) Propulsion System (PS).

All activities must be performed strictly according to aviation industry standards, particularly DO-178C and DO-331.

Tasks

  • Development and verification of the software for the PS.
  • Conduct all development and verification activities in compliance with DO-178C and DO-331 standards.

Results

The project is ongoing, with all activities being conducted in strict accordance with industry and company standards. The outcomes so far include:

  • Software Development activities: Software Design Description, Software High-level Requirements, Software Low-level Requirements, Source Code, Integrated Software
  • Software Verification activities: Requirements Review, Design Document Review, Source Code Reviewed, Test Cases and Test Procedures Running using VectorCAST tool and Simulink Test.
  • Adherence to standards: All development and verification activities are fully compliant with DO-178C, DO-331 and company standards and methods.
